Fitness and fun mark HGS annual sportsfest

Holiday Gym and Spa, promoting its “Healthy Living” campaigns, held its annual Sportsfest last November 28.
Clients and staff of HGS fitness center were divided into four teams: Earth, Wind, Fire and Water. The teams slugged it out in different sporting events in a fun-filled way of staying fit and healthy.
First off was the parade and opening ceremonies at the HGS complex. A series of fun games followed like the Tug of War, with two teams of eight males and females each.
Vocal talents and choreography marked the Cheering Competition with a
minimum of ten participants and a maximum of 20 participants in each team. Classic Pinoy games followed like the Sack Race, Egg Relay, “Bunot ” Race, Caterpillar Race, “Piggy Back” Race and the Patintero.
Fitness challenged marked the Bench Press competition for male and female divisions. More fitness challenges marked the Marathon 5k run,
swimming marathon, basketball tourney, spinning marathon, bowling,
billiards, darts, kickboxing aerobics marathon, latin aerobics marathon,spinning aerobics marathon, badminton and table tennis.
Capping the HGS sportsfest was the Mr. & Ms. Fitness Challenge, a physical and mental exercise with one male and female participant for each team.
Winners for the following competitions are as follows:
Swimming Male Relay- Wind Team composed of
Raymund Libre, Emanuelle Plasabas, Ian Palermo, Reymark Tan, Rey Cuberos bagged the first place. Second place went to the Fire Team Ronald Dagaang and Paulo Ouano while third place went to the Water Team composed of Miguel Competente, Miguel Geocaniga, Luis Leh and Robert Abella.
Swimming Female Relay first place winner is Lora Lorelie of the Wind Team; second place Deborah Moulton of the Earth Team and third place Vanessa Jacob, Sue Anne Samson and Jenny Espinoza of the Water Team.
For badminton men’s double, first placers are Leo Pulumbarit and Ej Gacayan of the Wind Team; second placers also from the same team, Randy Bermejo and Clifford Saligumba. Third placers are Paulo Ouano and Rainer Sempio of the Fire Team while Darryl Lara and Ryan Gaw from the Water Team placed fourth.
For badminton women's double, first placers are Mimi Acosta and Chin Panisales of the Wind Team, second placers also from the same team, Ren-ren Po and Rrose Po while placing third are Lilie Gaw and Rose Pitargue of the Water Team.
Mixed Doubles first place goes to the Wind Team composed of Ce-em Caboverde and Belle Sevilla, second place from Wind Team, Mitch Arreza and Mimi Acosta while third place from the Water Team composed of Ryan Gaw and Millet Navasca
Basketball champions are Renz Alonzo, Luis Reyna, Jericho Bolo, Vincent Marasigan, Lucky Gelera, Michael Gamil and PJ Gelera of the Wind Team.
Second placers are from the Earth Team composed of Poloy Aquino, JJ Angala, Wesley Bangayan, Arvin Bonleon, Cocoy Malbog, Ted Uy, Dodong Villaver and Erwin Gutierrez. Third placers are Fire Team composed of Emerson Blanco, Louie Cua, Russell Rodriguez, Cocoy Valverde, Dave Javellana, Sasan Toghyani, Gabriel Nakan, Prince Ibrahim, Robert Abella, Alay Paclibar, Aloy Birrey, Benjie Lumacad and Wendell Sombreo. Fourth placers are the Water Team composed of Nico Masaling, Peter Mungcal, Cezar Asarez, Jeric Felicitas, Lexter Ansaldo, Darryl Lara, Miguel Competente, Lester Ibañez, Calixto Galagar, Jan Michael Canonigo, Mac Ibañez and Joel Bontuyan.
Bowling first placers are the Water Team composed of Bob Knowlen, Bert Barriga, Robert Abella, Val Fernandez, Art Layug, Luz Torralba, Mary Ann Ma, Yvonne Yap, Lilie Gaw, Sue Anne Samson, Pinky Cabrera and Ely Magno.
Bagging second place is the Wind Team composed of Luis Oxales, PJ Gelera, Lucky Gelera, Leo Pulumbarit, CM Caboverde, Emanuelle Plasabas, Nat Baja, Bimboy, Michael Carcueva, Warren Shafford, Irene and Jing. Third placers are the Fire Team composed of Paul Garay, Paulo Ouano, Clark Abul, Wendell Sombreo, Sasan Toghyani, Prince Ibrahim, Gabriel Nakan and Katya Palileo. Fourth placers are Macoy Quijada, Pol Aquino, Dodong Villaver, King Sta. Ana, Ted Uy, Cocoy Malbog and Jay Angala of the Earth Team.
Team Presentation winners are: first place Water Team composed of Dang Manalang, Raquel Okawa, Richard Sernal, Pinky Bendigo, Pinky Cabrera, Luz Torralba, Orwee Tee, Zenaida Lagera, Lynore Toghyani and Ann Garcia; second placers are Fire Team Loren Rodriguez, Reyen Rodriguez, Dopee Ferolin, Katya Palileo, Wendell Sombreo, Paulo Ouano, Gabriel Nakan, Prince Ibrahim, Sasan Toghyani, Gen Guinoo and Jingle Apilado. Third placers are Wind Team.
For Cheering competition, Water Team composed of Liza Magpantay, Anne Lynore Toghyani, Dang Manalang, Raquel Okawa, Emma Amatong, Zenaida Lagera, Richard Sernal, Sallie Fernandez, Juliet Valdeviezo, Pinky Bendigo,L Luz Torralba, Richard Sernal, Cherryl Gay Grafilo bagged the first place.
Second place goes to Fire Team composed of Jingle Apilado, Gen Guinoo, Loren Rodriguez, Wendell Sombreo, Clark Abul, Yen Faith Rodriguez, Russel Rodriguez, Katrina Palileo, Benjie Lumacad, Ronald Daga-ang and
Joachim Milana. Third place goes to Wind Team composed of Mimie Anito, Haroon Cali, Winston Buca, Ivy Yap, Karen Madrazo, Reyna Luis, PJ Gelera, Lalaine Young and Emmanuelle Plasabas
Table Tennis male first place goes to Abner Luzon (Earth), Meloy Escudero (Wind) second place and Sasan Toghyani (Fire) third place. Table Tennis female first place goes to Apples Caturan (Fire), Hannah Torralba (Wind), second place and Cathy Palacio (Water) third place.
For 5k run male division, winners are: Ronald Dagaang (Fire)- first place, Paulo Ouano (Fire)- second place, Miguel Competente (Water)- third place.
For female division, first place is Chin Panisales (Wind), Keilah Rodriguez (Wind)- second place, third place is Yvonne Sasin (Earth).
Flag raising winners are first place Richard Sernal (Water), second place Paulo Ouano (Fire), Leo Pulumbarit (Wind) third place, Ishaq Ibrahim (Earth) fourth place.
Bagging the Mr. Fitness first place is Paulo Ouano (Fire), Bryan Guevara (Water), second place; Dexter Ansaldo (Earth), third place; and Emanuelle Plasabas (Wind), fourth place. Bagging the Ms. Fitness first place is Keilah Rodriguez (Wind), second place Katya Palileo (Fire) and Keen Competente (Water) third place.
For latin aerobics marathon female division, first place is Karen Madrazo (Wind), second Rosa Yu (Water) while third place is Katya Palileo (Fire).
For male division, first place is Michael Dakudao (Fire), second place is Leo Pulumbarit (Wind) while third place is Richard Sernal (Water).
For kickbox aerobics marathon male division, first place is Leo Pulumbarit (Wind), second place is Neil Magloyuan (Wind) while third place is Michael Dakudao (Fire). For female division first place is Boots Rodriguez (Wind), second place is Lilet Comon (Wind) while third place is Orwie Tee (Water).
Spinning marathon male division winners are: Paulo Ouano (Fire)- first place, Elmer Chua (Water)- second place, and Jay Angala (Earth)- third place. For
female division first place is Keen Competente (Water), second place is Ivy Yap (Wind) and third place is Bambi Andrada (Water).
Unwinding at the end of the hectic sportsfest, a pre-Christmas party and awards night was held last December 5.
