Holiday Gym & Spa's 5th Summer Fun Race

Holiday Gym and Spa, the city’s premier health and wellness center heralded the near end of summer with 5th Summer Fun Race held last ___.

A growing number of teams have joined this exciting annual event, which started in Starting off with 13 teams in 2006 and 2007, the number of participants are steadily growing with a total of 21 teams this year. All teams were composed of members since HGS staff were not allowed to play and manned each checkpoint.

The race started at 6 a.m. with all teams hurdling five mental and five physical challenges alternately which took them to different points like BluGre Coffee Landco, Victoria Plaza, Wheels & More and other areas in the vicinity.

This year, the Team Mixed Nuts bagged the first place, composed of Dang Manalang, Harley Bangayan and Christian Yu. Each team member receive d buffet certificates for two persons at Cafe Josefina (merienda buffet) at the Apo View Hotel, body massage certificate each from Holiday Spa, three weeks free membership at Holiday Gym and gift packs from Bioskin.

Coming in second was Team Cebu composed of Dave Anthony Java, Rachelle Chan and Richard Noel Amora. Each team member received dining certificate from Gerry's Grill, foot spa certificate each from Holiday Spa, two weeks free membership at Holiday Gym and gift packs from Bioskin.

Team All Stars composed of Neal Bernard Gemelo, Katrina Rodriguez and Dexter Ansaldo. Each team member received a dining certificate from BluGre Coffee, foot massage certificate from Holiday Spa, one week free membership from Holiday Gym, and gift packs from Bioskin. Team Philippines composed of EJ Santos, John Karlo Camarinta, Katrin Su, each team member will receive dining certificate from Holiday Cafe, free three days workout at Holiday Gym and gift packs from Bioskin.

Meanwhile, HGS held another fun activity to celebrate summer with the Summer Fun Aero Marathon last May 13 at the HGS basketball court.

Bagging the first place in the female division was Boots Rodriguez with Jackie Dizon in the second place and Racquel Okawa placing third.

For the men’s division, Dexter Tanedo bagged the first place. A total of 52 members participated in the aerobics marathon.

For the table tennis competition last May 14, winners for the male division are

Abner Luzon (first place), Ramon Lucero (second place) and Darvie Juson (third place). In the female division, Rose Po bagged the first place while Hannah Torralba placed second. HGS extends its heartfelt gratitude to the sponsors of the 5th Summer Fun Games: The Apo View Hotel,
