More medals for Holiday Gym & Spa

Holiday Gym and Spa, the city’s premier health and wellness center, is not only equipped with licensed instructors and staff, they are also leading the pack in fitness and sports contests.

Over the recent weeks, HGS instructors have been reaping awards and titles in various national sports and fitness contests.

Noy Jopson, a group exercise indoor cycling instructor and also swimming instructor at HGS-Cebu, recently joined the Ironman 70.3 Philippines, last August 23 at the Camsur Watersports Complex (CWC) in Pili, Camarines Sur,. This was not an event for the weakling. The swim event was for 1.9km, the bike ride covered 90km, and the run had a distance of 21km. Noy was the number one Pinoy to cross the finish line and ranked 17th in the overall standing . Because of this otstanding feat of being the 1st Ironman 70.3 Philippines, he will next conquer international scene.

Annie Neric, HGS Cebu Fitness Program Director and also a Group Exercise Instructor finished successfully her 21k run also at the IronMan 70.3 Philippines held at CamSur last August 23. Neric also landed the top five in the women's category in the Milo National Marathon for the Tagbilaran leg.

Meanwhile, Team Holiday ONE, composed of Yoko Ansaldo, Raymund Libre and Neal Gemelino finished the Kadayawan Urban Race at the fifth place. Team Holiday TOO, composed of Ian Pelino, Ted Uy and Dopee Ferolin finished the Kadayawan Urban Race at the seventh place.

Keen Competente, an HGS Davao member bagged the first place in her age category during the EMCOR Run held last August 23. Jenny Espinoza also bagged the first place in her age category during the Samsung Kadayawan Fun Run also held last August 23.

Benjie Lumcad, HGS Davao Boxing Instructor won in the welterweight category of the recently concluded URCC Davao-Digmaan held at Davao Convention Center last August 24, 2009.
